Employees undertaking routine checks and inspections should be competent to do so and those using LEV Systems must understand how they should be used to ensure control is maintained.
LEV User Training
Users will attain a basic understanding of why LEV systems are required, the components of a LEV system and what makes a good LEV system.
The training will concentrate on how Users should use your systems, how to identify if is it operating satisfactorily or unsatisfactorily and the in-house procedure should they identify the system is not in good working order.
Training is based around A workers’ pocket guide to local exhaust ventilation (LEV) INDG 409 and is complemented with use of inhouse LEV systems and associated procedures.
Routine Checks and Inspections of LEV
Those undertaking routine checks and inspections to determine control will attain a basic understanding of why LEV systems are required, the components of a LEV system and what makes a good LEV system.
The training will concentrate on how routine checks and inspections should be used to establish if a system is maintaining control, using both qualitative and quantitative methods, and maintenance of LEV records in accordance with in-house procedures.
